Hickory Neck Church Fall Festival

Fall is the time for festivals in Williamsburg and I went to two today. It was in the 90s and sunny, so attendance was great at both family events. Here’s a video of Hickory Neck Episcopal Church’s 10th Annual Fall Festival. (Disclosure: I’m a member of this church.) This event is the Hickory Neck’s largest fund raiser of the year, with proceeds going to several local charities. You can read more about the event on the church’s web site.

  1. Hello.

I don’t attend Hickory Neck Church but live close by. This is our second year attending the festival and it gets better each year!

I got some great deals at the Attic Treasures. My son loved the bouncy house and the hay rides. I can’t eat meat, so I was happy to see some cole slaw and saute vegetables on the menu this year. Vegetarian Brunswick Stew would be fabulous. Hint, Hint. 🙂

Thanks Hickory Neck. You all did a wonderful job!

    Blessings,
    Milissa

  2. Milissa,

So glad you enjoyed the event. I agree, more veggie options would be most welcome by me, too. They did vegetarian Brunswick stew several years ago, but it was not a big seller. I’m going to pass along your suggestion to the food committee and suggest maybe a vegetarian chili. What do you think of that option?

    Laurie

  3. Thanks Laurie. Veggie chili sounds great!
